Ground Work Days - What's the Deal?

Join the Farms with a Future Program by attending one of our Ground Work Days, and improve the sustainability of your farm. Limited places available, book now.

Do you want to improve your soil, water retention and/or biodiversity, but are not sure where to start? Join us for one of 12 Ground Work Days being run by SCPA-South East Producers between Nov 2015 and May 2018.

You’ll get to:

  • See what other farmers are already doing
  • Participate in a practical Ground Work Day
  • Network with other sustainable farmers
  • Have the opportunity to obtain funding for your own sustainable farm practices.

Ground Work Days coming up soon are:

Tuesday 13 March, Jinglefox, Dalgety

Tuesday 20 March, Three Gullies, Mt Fairy

Monday 26 March, Leaf & Petal, Turlinjah

Bookings are essential

At each Ground Work Day we will demonstrate sustainable farming practices. These will relate directly to one or more of: soil improvement, water retention and protection, and biodiversity enhancement.

Each Ground Work Day is open to participants from 20 farming properties from within the South East Local Land Services region. To secure your place you must agree to submit a Draft Sustainable Farm Plan for your own farms after the day (don’t worry we will help you start the process). You then have the opportunity to receive funding of up to $1,000 towards the cost of implementing your Sustainable Farm Plan.
